Manaslu Circuit Trek is liaising between the Manaslu region created by 8th world highest Mount Manaslu and the Annapurna region created by 10th highest Mount Annapurna and its whole Annapurna Himalayan range. The region first opened for the trekking purpose for international visitors at 1992.

Drive to Soti Khola (730M), 7-8 Hrs

Soti Khola, the starting point of Manaslu Circut Trek, is 126KM from Kathmandu and takes 7-8 hours of drive. Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola via Gola Bhanjyang, Arughat and Arkhet Bazar. Overnight in guesthouse.

Trek to Machha Khola (930m), 6-7 Hrs

The first day of our trek is 14.1KM (8.7 miles) from Soti Khola to Machha Khola and passing small villages of Armala, Lapu Besi, Nauli Khola and Khani Besi along the Budhi Gandaki river. First part of the trek has beautiful terraced field with mountain ridges, unique landscapes, blue Budhi Gandaki river and flora and faunas are highlights of the first day of trekking.

Trek to Jagat (1340m), 6-7 Hrs

We have long and tiring day to go today. Machha Khola to Jagat trek is 22.2KM (13.7 miles) and the trail passes along the Buri Gandaki River via Gurung villages of Khorla Besi, Tatopani, Dovan and Yuru Khola. Pristine Himalayan foothills, remote ethnic Gurung settlements, lush green valleys with forests, gorges, waterfalls and verdant meadows are highlights of the Machha Khola -Jagat trek. Dip yourself down to the natural hotspring at the Tatopani. Jagat Village has the checkpost to register our two trekking permits; Manaslu Special Region trek permit and Manaslu Conservation Area Project trek permit.

Trek to Deng (1860m), 8-9 Hrs

We officially have entered to the Manaslu Special region and the Manaslu Conservation Area. The 19.9KM (12.3 miles) trek from Jagat to Deng passes through other smaller settlements of Salleri, Paimo, Sirdibas, Philim, Ekla Bhatti and Nyak villages. Walking through the riverbanks created by Budhi Gandaki and other smaller rivers and streams, crossing the hanging bridges and suspension bridges over the famous Budhi Gandaki River and other smaller rivers and streams are highlight of the day. The trail is rich with dense subtropical forest of oak, birch and pine trees. Deng village is one of the first village in the Manaslu Circuit Trek route to have prominent view of Manaslu Himalayan range.

Trek to Namrung (2630m), 7-8 Hrs

The 19.5KM (12.1 miles) trek from Deng to Namrung passes through smaller villages of Ranagaon, Bihi and Prok. Beautiful setup of Namrung village sitting beside the Budhi Gandaki village is a highlight of the day. Trek to Samagaun (3520m), 7-8 Hrs

The higher you go, the more interesting the trekking becomes! The 17.70KM  (10-9 miles) trek from Namrung to Samagaon passes via Li, Syo and Lhogaon villages. People of the region display the ethnical influence of Tibetan culture and prayer wheels, Mani walls and prayer flags always welcome you.

SUNRISE FROM POONHILL (3210M), TREK TO SWANTA VILLAGE (2270M) 6-7 HRS

After an early start at around 05:00 hrs, we will ascend to Poon Hill (3210m), one hour steep climb leads us to a brilliant viewpoint, providing an unobstructed sunrise over the high Himalayas. After spending half an hour on the hillside and enjoy a good cup of coffee or tea, we come back to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and start off to Swanta Village via Chitre Village. The trail descends all the way to the Swanta Village. The charming village is widely spread over the hillside which has primary school with a basketball court and a nearby temple dedicated to the Hindu deity Ganesh.

TREK TO KHOPRA RIDGE (3600M) 7-8 HRS

Head north, ascend and head up the valley traversing the side of the hill above an unseen Dhakse Khore stream below. Walking towards Khopra Ridge, the trail passes beautiful waterfall, steep and sometime the Ghoral animal. The view of the lush green valley below is stunning and Ghorepani can be spotted across the way at a notch in the ridge. From here, we have a stead ascend from the Upper Shistibung lodge and go through alpine meadows and pasturelands. As we continue on the trail, we see the tip of the Annapurna South emerge in the distance which means we are almost to the Khopra Ridge. Lunch will be ready when we arrive at the lodge. The lodge itself offers view of the Mount Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna South, Annapurna Fang and many other countless peaks. After lunch, we have short climb to the Mulde Hill View Point to appreciate the sunset over the panorama of Dhaulagiri & Annapurna Himalayan ranges. Overnight stay at Community Lodge.

SUNRISE FROM KHOPRA RIDGE, (3673M), TREK TO DOBATO (3420M) 5-6 HRS


Wake up early in the morning to have sunrise view. Return back to the lodge to have a hot breakfast. Begin the trek with descending vial small trail until small pond which we passed during the Chistibung –Khopra Ridge walk. The narrow trail passes just bottom of the Annapurna South (7219m) with grassy land and bamboo and rhododendron forest. We stop at the hamlet called Bayeli Village for the lunch. Dobato is just an hour and half away from here. It’s a small village with handful of guesthouses accommodating trekkers passing to Khopra and back to Ghorepani. Overnight at lodge. Optional: Day hike to the holy Khayer Lake and Annapurna South Glacier.

SUNRISE FROM MULDE VIEW POINT (3637M), TREK TO KIMRONG DANDA (2200M) 7-8 HRS


Wake up early in the morning for 45 minutes hike up to the ridge called Mulde View Point which offers superb views of high Himalayan ranges; Annapurna, Dhaulagiri as well as Machhapuchhre to Wake up early in the morning to have sunrise view. Return back to the lodge to have a hot breakfast. After breakfast, we descend down to Kimrong Danda via Tadapani with lots of ups and down. Tadapani probably be our nice lunch spot with a view over Himalayan range and deep Kimrong valley. The trail to Annapurna Base Camp branches off here. Overnight stay at the Little Paradise Guest House.

TREK TO JHINU DANDA HOT SPRING (1700M) 5-6 HRS

Enjoy another beautiful sunrise view over the Himalayan range before having breakfast. After breakfast, we descend down to Ghandruk village. Explore around the beautiful Ghandruk village before heading down to Jeep stand from where we have jeep ride to Pokhara. Afternoon, explore around the Lakeside of Pokhara. Overnight stay at the hotel

TREK TO SEWAI JEEP STATION, 4-5 HRS. DRIVE TO POKHARA, 3-4 HRS

The trek from Jhinu Danda to Sewai jeep stand 4-5 hours including a gentle walk up. The first part of the trek is downhill, followed by some flat land until you reach Himal Pani. Here you find a beautiful waterfall. Beyond this village, the trail ascends gently crossing numerous streams and terraces. After a short trek, you will be at jeep stand, here board on the Bus for an hour drive to Pokhara, on reaching at Pokhara within the Phewa Lake side area. If you will be early back, you will have walking around Lake Side town.

FLY/DRIVE TO KATHMANDU

After breakfast, drive to tourist bus station for the return drive by by standard tourist bus to Kathmandu. If you fly, An opportunity to relax and reflect on your adventures and to complete any sightseeing and last-minute shopping. Overnight in hotel.

DEPARTURE

After breakfast, drive to the Kathmandu airport for the departure flight to home.
