THE RIVER: Trishuli River originates from the Frozen Gosainkunda Lake in the Langtang region –one of its’ tributaries Kerung Tsangpo originates from the Tibet. Legend has it that when the Hindu god Shiva struck his Trident Trishul in one of the rock field at 4400m, it appeared the water source for the Holy Gosainkunda Lake which is the origination of the River. It grades IV in monsoon as well as post-monsoon (June to October) when rapid of the river increases whereas it grades III rest of the year (October to May) when the rapid of the river decreases. Big bouncy waves, hefty holes and tricky chutes all go towards making an exhilarating ride to remember. We arrange rafting, cannoning, kayaking, fishing and surrounding hiking.
Start an early morning drive and it brings us to the rafting put in point, Charaundi. After an introduction among rafting guide, group members as well as other helpers – we do gear setup and safety check with the rafting gear before hitting to the river. We hit few rapids in between II to III classes, rafting continue for 2-3 hours before arriving at the resort for picnic lunch. After lunch, drive to Kathmandu for four hours. Trip ends!
